Q: How is the unit cleaned and how often?
A: We clean the unit after each use by draining the water and wiping down the unit with antibacterial cleaners. We also use Pro Team Shock Treatment each time the spa is filled with new water. The Pro Team Spa Oxidizing Shock quickly removes contaminants and other build up in spa water. It will also help to restore dull cloudy water back to beautiful looking water. After the unit is filled to the desired water level we place a bromine floater inside of the spa. Bromine is a superior viricide and bactericide compared to chlorine.
Q: How much electricity is used?
A: The dream maker unit is designed to be environmentally friendly and use a minimal amount of electricity during use. The unit runs on any 15 amp 110 Volt outlet.
Q: Why does the unit have to be set up 24 hours early?
A: Permanent hot tubs run on 220 volt outlets and require an electrician to install. Because this is a portable unit it is able to run on a 110 volt outlet, it therefore uses less electricity to create and maintain heat. This is why it takes 24 hours to heat up and also why the tub only maintains heat for 1 hour during use.
Q: Will I only get one hour of use with the hot tub?
A: Not at all. After using the tub just close up the cover and the unit will be back to desired temperatures within 1 to 2 hours.
